Arsenal were crowned 2025-26 Premier League champions on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, ending a 22-year wait for the club’s 14th English top-flight title.
The Gunners secured the trophy after Manchester City drew 1-1 with Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium, leaving Mikel Arteta’s side four points clear with one match remaining. Arsenal moved to 82 points following a 1-0 win over Burnley on Monday, and City’s failure to win meant they could no longer catch the north London club.
Celebrations erupted immediately across North London. Thousands of supporters gathered outside Emirates Stadium late Tuesday, setting off fireworks and chanting, while players and staff watched the City-Bournemouth match together at London Colney training ground.
Club great Ian Wright joined fans outside the stadium, and videos shared by players showed the squad singing “We Are The Champions”. Former striker and club ambassador Nwankwo Kanu posted on Threads: “KAN U believe it??? Arsenal Forever. The Gunners worked so hard for this... Very well deserved.”
Arsenal’s title run was built on a league-best defensive record and set-piece dominance. Arteta’s side recorded 25 wins, 19 clean sheets and 35 set-piece goals across all competitions, while goalkeeper David Raya earned his third straight Golden Glove.
The Gunners now travel to Crystal Palace on Sunday, May 24, for their final league match before facing Paris St Germain in the Champions League final in Budapest on May 30.
