Jorge Jesus has left his role as head coach of Al Nassr immediately after guiding the club to the 2025-26 Saudi Pro League title.

The 71-year-old Portuguese manager confirmed his departure Thursday night, May 21, following a 4-1 victory over Damac at Al-Awwal Park in Riyadh.

The win secured Al Nassr’s first league championship since 2019, ending a seven-year title drought. Jesus announced the decision in an interview with Canal GOAT, stating the match was his last in charge of the Saudi club.

The coach joined Al Nassr on July 14, 2025, signing a one-year contract after leaving rivals Al Hilal. He said he accepted the job to help Cristiano Ronaldo and the team win a championship. “I came here to help Cristiano and this club to win, we did an incredible job all together… now for me it’s time to go,” Jesus said. Ronaldo scored twice in the title-clinching match, with Sadio Mane and Kingsley Coman also finding the net as Al Nassr finished the season with 86 points, two ahead of Al Hilal.

Jesus described the challenge of building a “very united group” to beat Al Hilal, the team he previously helped shape. He said he plans to vacation in Portugal and Brazil and did not confirm his next job, though reports have linked him to Fenerbahçe and the Portugal national team after the 2026 World Cup.
