Nigerian Midfielder Onyedika Wins Belgian Pro League With Club Brugge

Nigerian international Raphael Onyedika secured the Belgian Pro League title with Club Brugge on Thursday night, May 21, 2026. 

The 25-year-old midfielder featured in the club’s title-clinching campaign during the 2025–26 season. Club Brugge completed its league campaign to lift the First Division A championship, marking Onyedika’s second Belgian league title with the team.

Onyedika, who wears jersey number 15, joined Club Brugge from FC Midtjylland and plays as a midfielder for both the Belgian side and the Nigeria national team. The victory adds to his trophy haul in Belgium, which already included the Belgian Cup in 2024–25 and the Belgian Super Cup in 2025. The title was decided during the league’s championship playoff phase, where Club Brugge finished ahead of its rivals to claim the crown.

The 2025–26 championship is Onyedika’s second Belgian Pro League title after first winning it with Club Brugge in the 2023–24 season.
