Arsenal and Barcelona Weigh Player-Plus-Cash Move for Osimhen

Arsenal and Barcelona are considering player-plus-cash offers for Victor Osimhen after Galatasaray set a prohibitive valuation for the striker, according to Turkish journalist Yakup Çınar.

The report, shared by the Galatasaray-focused outlet PeÅŸindeyiz, claims both clubs are unwilling to meet a straight cash fee and are preparing proposals that include a makeweight player to lower the upfront cost.

Osimhen joined Galatasaray permanently from Napoli last summer in a €75 million deal following a prolific loan spell. He has remained central to the Turkish champions' attack, which has driven his price higher. Galatasaray are now reported to be demanding as much as €140 million, with English reports putting the figure closer to £112 million.

Arsenal's interest intensified after sporting director Andrea Berta and recruitment chief Maurizio Micheli were spotted at Galatasaray's 3-0 win over Fenerbahce, though Osimhen's reported £13 million annual salary and separate image-rights payments make any deal expensive.

Barcelona view Osimhen as a long-term successor to Robert Lewandowski but remain restricted by financial fair play limits, making a swap more realistic than a record cash outlay. Arsenal are also in the market for a proven No.9 after identifying the Nigerian as a £65 million target this summer.
