Selçuk İnan Reaffirms Loyalty to Galatasaray Fans After Kocaelispor Match

Kocaelispor head coach Selçuk İnan has declared his unwavering affection for Galatasaray supporters, following his team’s Super Lig encounter on April 12, 2026.

İnan, who retired from professional football at the end of the 2019–20 season after a trophy-laden career as Galatasaray’s captain, now leads a rival club but has not distanced himself from his past. His latest remarks confirm that his emotional bond with the fanbase remains intact, even as he focuses fully on his current coaching responsibilities.

Speaking in the press, the former Galatasaray captain said: “My love for Galatasaray fans has never faded, and it never will. I gave everything for that badge during my playing days, and those people supported me through every high and low. Now I am Kocaelispor’s coach, and I will fight for this club with the same commitment. But the respect and affection I hold for the Galatasaray community is permanent. That does not change because of a different shirt on the sideline.”
