Levante UD is reportedly moving to secure the permanent signing of Uruguayan defender Alan Matturro following his impressive stint on loan.
The Spanish club currently holds a €12 million buy option clause to acquire the player from Italian side Genoa. Having become a mainstay in the Levante backline since arriving at the start of the 2025/2026 season, Matturro's performances have left the club hierarchy "very happy" and eager to finalize a long-term deal.
The 21-year-old Uruguayan center-back originally made his name at Defensor Sporting in his homeland before moving to Europe. He officially signed with Genoa on January 2, 2023, for a fee of approximately €3 million.
Since his transition to Spanish football on July 9, 2025, his stock has risen significantly, with his defensive solidity and physical presence making him one of the standout young prospects in the league this season.
