Kyle Walker: Anyone Can Be Stopped in a One-Off Game

According to Kyle Walker, Manchester City can be stopped as Burnley prepare to host the Premier League leaders at Turf Moor.

The 35-year-old right-back, who joined Burnley from his former club Manchester City in 2025, pointed out that no team is unbeatable over 90 minutes. Walker, a key figure during his long spell at the Etihad Stadium where he served as captain, called on his new teammates to make the match difficult for the visitors.

The England international said Burnley must focus on making the game "ugly" and avoid rolling out a red carpet for Pep Guardiola's side. "We need to go and make a good showing of ourselves as Burnley Football Club," Walker told Sky Sports.

He added that City players will be motivated to keep pressure on Arsenal in the title race, remarking he has seen both sides of such situations and still has many friends at his former club. Walker insisted he now wears the Burnley cap and must remain fully professional.
