Turkish football commentator and former referee Ahmet Çakar has declared that Galatasaray is just one step away from claiming the Süper Lig championship this season.
During a sports program appearance, Çakar stated that Galatasaray is effectively one letter short of the word "champion" and will enter the upcoming derby against Fenerbahçe determined to secure a victory rather than settle for a draw.
According to the SiYAH report, Çakar’s full comments were that Galatasaray is now "champion" only the last letter remains and that next week, Galatasaray will not say a draw is enough; they will want to tear Fenerbahçe apart.”
Galatasaray currently holds a commanding lead in the standings, and a strong win against Fenerbahçe would greatly boost their chances of lifting the trophy with only a five matches remaining.
