French football legend Frank Leboeuf has advised Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen to leave Turkish side Galatasaray and test himself in the Premier League to take his career to the next level. Leboeuf insisted that while the Turkish Super Lig offers competition, the Premier League remains the ultimate destination for a player of Osimhen’s caliber.
During an interview with ESPN on the Morning Football show, the former Chelsea center-back emphasized that the Super Eagles star belongs among the world’s best. "With all due respect to the Turkish Super Lig, Osimhen deserves to play in the best league in the world, so the Premier League would be great," Leboeuf stated. He added that he would also welcome seeing the forward in La Liga, noting that Spain or England would be ideal stages for the Nigerian to showcase his skills.
Osimhen, currently on loan at Galatasaray, has been in sensational form this season, attracting interest from top European clubs. Leboeuf’s comments add to the growing chorus of pundits who believe the former Lille striker must make a move to a top-five European league to fulfill his immense potential and compete at the highest level consistently.
