US former president Barack Obama shows off his favorite songs, books, and movies during the 2025 of his life cycle. In a reflective social media post, Obama explained that the annual list captures the music he listened to, the books he read, and the films he enjoyed throughout the year.


Obama shared on his Twitter handle some Nigerian global singers Burna Boy, Olamide, and Lady Gaga as his Africa favorite music stars, placing them among a rich mix of international artists. Burna Boy appeared on the list through his collaboration “Tatata,” while Olamide featured with “99,” alongside other Nigerian stars. Lady Gaga also made the list, showing her continued global influence.

In the Music category, Obama’s favorites included songs such as Tatata by Burna Boy, 99 by Olamide, Abracadabra by Lady Gaga, Luther by Kendrick Lamar & SZA, Faithless by Bruce Springsteen, and Not in Surrender by Obongjayar.

For Books, he highlighted notable titles including The Book of Records, King of Ashes, Rosarita, and The Buffalo Hunter Hunter.

Under Movies, Obama listed films that stood out to him during the year, reflecting strong storytelling and cultural depth, Sinners, It was just an accident, and The Secret Agent.
