German winger Leroy Sané has turned down a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia in order to continue his career with Galatasaray, according to a report cited by Turkish football commentator Levent Tüzemen.

The claim was published Saturday by the Galatasaray-focused outlet Forza Cimbom on Twitter. The post stated that Sané received what was described as a good offer from a Saudi Pro League club but declined it, as his intention is to stay in Istanbul. No Saudi club was named in the post, though recent reports have linked Al-Hilal with interest in the 29-year-old.

Sané, who joined Galatasaray on a free transfer from Bayern Munich in June 2025 after his contract in Germany expired, signed a three-year deal with the Turkish champions. He arrived as one of the most valuable players in the Süper Lig, following a spell at Bayern where he won four Bundesliga titles and previously two Premier League titles with Manchester City.

The decision comes as Galatasaray prepare for a new domestic and Champions League campaign. Sané had previously been the subject of interest from Premier League side Arsenal and several Saudi clubs before choosing Galatasaray last summer, a move his representatives described at the time as driven by the club's sporting project.
