Lamine Yamal Scores as Spain Crush Saudi Arabia 4-0

Spain cruised to a commanding 4-0 victory over Saudi Arabia in their FIFA World Cup 2026 Group H clash on Sunday at Atlanta Stadium in Atlanta. 

Spanish forward Lamine Yamal, 18, and striker Mikel Oyarzabal, 29, both Spanish, shone as Spain rebounded from an opening draw to secure three vital points in the group stage.

Lamine Yamal scored in the 10th minute, assisted by Mikel Oyarzabal. Mikel Oyarzabal added goals in the 21st minute, assisted by Aymeric Laporte, and the 24th minute, assisted by Dani Olmo. 

Saudi Arabia defender Hassan Tambakti (Saudi Arabian) scored an own goal in the 49th minute. Spain dominated possession and attacked relentlessly in a one-sided first half, maintaining control with clinical finishing before easing off after the break.

Spain top Group H with 4 points from two matches and a +4 goal difference after this win, having drawn 0-0 with Cape Verde previously. Saudi Arabia sit near the bottom with 1 point and a negative goal difference following their earlier draw with Uruguay.

Spain face Uruguay on June 26 in their final Group H match.
