Kairat Almaty defeated Kyzyl-Zhar SK 4-2 in the Kazakhstan Premier League on Sunday at Stadion Karasay in Petropavl.

Kairat extended their strong form with a high-scoring away victory against the struggling hosts, who remain near the bottom of the table. The result highlighted Kairat’s attacking efficiency on Matchday 14.

Kairat took control early with Finnish midfielder Jaakko Oksanen scoring in the 8th minute assisted by Oiva Jukkola, followed by Marc Gual in the 13th. Cameroonian forward Stéphane Bahoken added a third in the 23rd minute, and Ivorian Etienne Beugre converted a penalty in the 39th to make it 4-2 by full time after Kyzyl-Zhar responded twice in the second half.

Kairat dominated the first half with quick transitions, while the second half saw more balanced but end-to-end play.

Kairat sit second in the standings with 30 points and a +13 goal difference after 15 matches, while Kyzyl-Zhar are 11th with 15 points and a -3 goal difference.

The visitors maintained their challenge for a top position, capitalizing on clinical finishing against a side fighting to avoid lower-table pressure.

Kairat’s next match is on June 27 against Okzhetpes.
