Barcelona forward Lamine Yamal issued multiple public tributes to teammate Robert Lewandowski following the striker’s final home appearance for the club.
Yamal, shared his message on Instagram after Barcelona’s 3-1 LaLiga victory over Real Betis on Sunday, May 17, at Camp Nou. In his main post, he thanked Lewandowski for his influence during their time together in the first team. “Thank you for everything, for your goals, your leadership, and for believing in me since day one,” Yamal wrote. “I learned so much from you, on and off the pitch. You will always be a legend.”
The Barcelona winger also posted a shorter, six-word message to the Poland international: "We're going to miss you legend." In a separate Instagram story, Yamal shared a video of Lewandowski waving to supporters at Camp Nou with the caption “Legend.”
Yamal and Lewandowski have played together since Yamal broke into Barcelona’s senior squad. The striker has been a mentor to the teenager, who became a regular starter on the right wing.
Over the past two seasons, Lewandowski often guided Yamal during training sessions and matches, offering advice on movement, positioning, and decision-making in the final third.
