Super Eagles striker Umar Sadiq has publicly called out the official Super Eagles social media account after he was excluded from a weekend roundup of Nigerian goalscorers abroad.
The incident occurred on Saturday, August 30, after Valencia's La Liga fixture against Deportivo La Coruña at the Estadio Municipal de Riazor. Sadiq, 28, scored for Valencia in the first half but his goal was not featured in the national team's recap post highlighting Nigerian players on target for their clubs.
Valencia lost the match 3-1, with Deportivo taking an early lead through an own goal by Cesar Tarrega in the 13th minute and a strike from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the 17th minute.

Sadiq responded in the 26th minute, capitalizing on a defensive error to slot home from close range and reduce the deficit to 2-1. It was his first goal of the season and his third appearance for Valencia.
Deportivo sealed the win in the 59th minute with a second own goal from Mouctar Diakhaby. After the post went live without his name, a fan noted the omission in the comments, tagging the official account and Sadiq.
Sadiq replied directly under the post, expressing frustration with the exclusion. He wrote: "Because they're enemies of progress. They don move me to NBA since then," adding laughing emojis.
