In the semi-final of the FIFA World Cup 2026 at Dallas Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on July 14, Spanish forward Mikel Oyarzabal and defender Pedro Porro powered Spain to a 2-0 victory over France, securing a place in the final.

The result eliminated the French side, who entered as strong contenders, while advancing the Spaniards in a high-stakes European clash.

Mikel Oyarzabal, the Spanish striker, scored the opening goal from the penalty spot in the 22nd minute. Pedro Porro, the Spanish right-back, added the second goal in the 58th minute, finished after a give-and-go with Dani Olmo.

Spain controlled possession and created more chances throughout, dominating the first half with clinical finishing before maintaining a solid defensive shape in the second half to secure the clean-sheet win.

Spain progressed through the tournament with strong defensive form, conceding few goals prior to this match, while France had also shown solid knockout performances. Both teams demonstrated high competitiveness in reaching the semi-finals among the final four unbeaten or top-performing sides.

Spain will face the winner of England versus Argentina in the final on July 19, 2026.
