Nigerian Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, widely known as Davido, has joined fellow music icon Wizkid among African artists who have successfully performed in Saudi Arabia.
The Grammy-nominated singer recently thrilled fans during an exclusive private performance in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This appearance places Davido among the few top Nigerian and African musicians to grace major stages in the Kingdom, following Wizkid’s headline performance at the internationally recognized Soundstorm Festival in Riyadh.
Davido’s high-energy set in Jeddah was warmly received by Saudi fans, who danced along to a selection of his popular hits, including a mashup featuring songs by Omah Lay.
Sharing the moment with his fans online, Davido hinted that the Jeddah event was just the beginning. He wrote, “Quick private gig in Jeddah, main show in Riyadh,” suggesting that a larger and more anticipated performance awaits audiences in the Saudi capital.
