Victor Osimhen has become the third-highest-scoring foreign player in Galatasaray's history. The Nigerian striker reached the milestone during his ongoing spell with the Turkish Süper Lig club in Istanbul.
Osimhen now sits behind only Argentine forward Mauro Icardi and Romanian legend Gheorghe Hagi on the club's all-time foreign goalscoring list. The achievement was confirmed after his latest goals took his tally past former Czech striker Milan Baros.
According to Galatasaray's records, Osimhen has scored 62 goals and provided 16 assists in 76 matches across all competitions for the club. The ranking now lists Icardi first with 77 goals in 134 matches, followed by Hagi with 72 goals in 192 matches, and Osimhen third with 62 goals in 76 matches.
Baros is fourth with 61 goals in 116 matches. Osimhen had earlier moved up the list by surpassing Brazil's Mario Jardel and later Bafetimbi Gomis, as he climbed from outside the top five into the top four.
Since his arrival, he has been a central figure in the club's attack in the Super Lig and in European competition, where he has also become the club's leading foreign scorer in the UEFA Champions League.
Recent reports put his overall output at close to 59 goals in 74 matches before the latest update pushed him to 62. The rapid scoring rate has put him within striking distance of Galatasaray's foreign goalscoring record.
