Molde FK announced Wednesday that the Frostating Court of Appeal has cleared Nigerian midfielder Daniel Daga of all allegations against him.

The Norwegian club confirmed the verdict, which ends an 11-month period during which Daga was unable to play. The court’s decision was delivered this week in Trondheim, Norway, where the appeal case was heard. Daga, 20, had been sidelined from professional football since August 2025 while legal proceedings were ongoing.

The allegations had kept Daga out of both club and international competition for nearly a year. Molde FK stated that the club fully cooperated with authorities throughout the legal process and maintained Daga’s contract during the proceedings. Following the acquittal, the club said Daga is now immediately eligible to return to training and match selection.

With the verdict issued, Molde FK indicated Daga will begin reintegration with the first team ahead of upcoming Eliteserien fixtures. The club did not specify a date for his return to competitive play, noting that match fitness will be assessed by technical staff. Daga’s clearance comes as Molde FK continues its 2026 domestic league campaign. The player has not yet issued a public statement.
