Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has been named Süper Lig Player of the Season for 2025-26. The honour, issued by football data platform Transfermarkt, was announced as the Turkish campaign closed in May.
It follows a season in which Galatasaray finished top of the league to retain the title. Osimhen, 27, was playing his first year as a permanent Galatasaray signing after moving from Napoli on 31 July 2025 for €75 million, a record fee for Turkish football.
He ended the domestic season as Galatasaray's top scorer with 15 league goals and 22 in all competitions. He made 22 league appearances, starting 19, and added five assists in 1,711 minutes of play. The club secured the championship on 9 May with a 4-2 home win over Antalyaspor, sealing first place with a match to spare.
In Europe, Osimhen scored seven times in the Champions League, including an extra-time goal against Juventus on 26 February that carried Galatasaray through the knockout phase play-offs to the round of 16.
