Villa is reportedly pursuing Galatasaray midfielder Gabriel Sara, according to multiple European and Turkish media outlets.
Turkish outlet Takvim reported that Villa scouts monitored Sara and the club is now expected to launch a formal bid. Fanatik stated that Villa “definitely want” the 26-year-old Brazilian, with negotiations likely to increase in the coming weeks. Galatasaray values Sara at a minimum of 30 million euros and expects a final fee near 40 million euros. His contract runs until June 2029. Other valuations reported range from £17 million to £50.8 million. Sara joined Galatasaray from Norwich City in 2024.
Sara made 42 appearances for Galatasaray this season, recording two goals and ten assists as the club won the Super Lig title. He averages over 50 passes per game with an 87% success rate and ranks among the league’s top midfielders for shot-creating actions.
Villa manager Unai Emery is seeking midfield reinforcements ahead of the 2025-26 campaign while managing financial fair play requirements. Everton, Tottenham, Napoli, Manchester United and Inter Milan have also been linked with Sara.
