Marc Cucurella made his first appearance at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium as a Real Madrid player during the club's recent home win. The Spanish left-back, who joined from Chelsea, was unveiled earlier in the week alongside club president Florentino Perez and was presented with the club's European trophies.
Speaking after his first game at the Bernabeu, Cucurella described the night as complete, highlighting the presentation of the World Cup trophy to supporters and the team's overall display. He focused on teammate Vinicius Junior, noting that head coach Jose Mourinho has asked all attacking players to add more defensive work. On Vinicius's performance, he said:
"His effort is evident to everyone; he fought until the final whistle. When a player shows this kind of commitment... you can feel he is completely invested. This is crucial for the team." Cucurella added that he found the Bernabéu atmosphere perfect and said the squad managed the difficult moments against a strong opponent.
Off the pitch, Cucurella explained a change in his living situation since arriving in Madrid. He had initially stayed at the club's training base to accelerate his integration with the squad. With his family's recent arrival, he has now moved into a private home. "I just moved out yesterday. Living at the base was great, and now that my family has arrived, I need to go home and live with them. This will allow me to spend more time with my family," he said.
