Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen is increasingly likely to be available for the club's Süper Lig match at Trabzonspor on September 19, according to Turkish journalist Mehmet Özcan.
The update comes as the Nigerian international races to recover from a muscle injury sustained last weekend. The game, scheduled for Papara Park in Trabzon, is Round 6 of the 2026/27 season and one of the early marquee fixtures in the league calendar.
Osimhen suffered an adductor muscle strain during Galatasaray's 3-2 win over Istanbul Başakşehir on Friday evening, an injury initially expected to sideline him for three matches across all competitions. Early assessments indicated he will be unavailable for the UEFA Champions League match against Sporting Lisbon, as well as the Super Lig games against Kocaelispor and Trabzonspor.
Galatasaray hosts Kocaelispor on September 13 before another major Süper Lig fixture just six days later. While Osimhen and Mario Lemina are both out for Sporting, and the Kocaelispor match too, one physiotherapist assessment noted a return for the Trabzonspor trip is scientifically unlikely, but the medical team led by Dr. Yener İnce pulled off near-miracles last season.
