Italian champions Inter Milan are reportedly monitoring Fulham defender Calvin Bassey ahead of a potential future move, with the Nigeria international emerging as a target for Serie A clubs.
The 26-year-old centre-back, who can also operate at left-back, has become a key figure for Fulham since joining from Ajax in July 2023 in a deal worth around 22.5 million euros. His current contract is due to expire in the summer of 2027, with Fulham holding an option to extend it by a further year until 2028.
According to reports from TEAMtalk, Inter have tracked Bassey across several transfer windows as they look to add a left-footed defender to provide depth during a demanding domestic and European campaign.
Fulham are said to have no intention of sanctioning a mid-season departure and are instead preparing to open talks over a new long-term contract. Bassey, born in Aosta, Italy, in 1999 and a product of Leicester City's academy, has made 105 appearances for Fulham, scoring four goals, and was named the club's Player of the Season for 2024/25.
