Fulham stall on €24m Chukwueze deal, push Milan for lower fee

Talks to keep Samuel Chukwueze at Craven Cottage have slowed. The Nigeria international moved to Fulham from AC Milan before the 2025-26 season on a temporary deal that included a future buying option, and his pace and direct dribbling on the right flank have given the Premier League side a reliable attacking outlet.

The hold-up is financial. Milan wrote a €24 million purchase figure into the original loan, and people close to the Italian club say Fulham are now lobbying for that number to come down. The west London side still want to retain the winger long term, but they regard the full price as too heavy for the budget they have mapped out for this summer.

On the pitch he has made a case for himself. Across roughly 20 league outings he has delivered three goals and four assists, and the coaching group under Marco Silva has spoken positively about his revival after a quiet spell in Serie A.
