Fulham defeated Aston Villa by a score of 1-0 in the Premier League at Craven Cottage in London on Saturday.

English midfielder Ryan Sessegnon netted the winner in the 43rd minute, providing the home team with three crucial points in their mid-table this season.

Ryan Sessegnon scored the only goal in the 43rd minute with no assist. Fulham took the lead just before halftime through a clinical left-footed strike from the centre of the box and defended resolutely in the second half as Aston Villa controlled possession but created few clear chances, securing a narrow home victory.

Aston Villa remained in fourth place with 58 points and a goal difference of plus five after 34 matches. Fulham jumped to 10th with 48 points and a goal difference of minus two, collecting valuable points against a higher-ranked opponent at Craven Cottage.

Following the victory, Fulham will move to face Arsenal away from home in the Premier League on Saturday, May 2, continuing their season-long quest for points in the top.
